I just realized that we don't have any build logs focused on Camaros. At Xtreme we do a ton of work with modern muscle cars and the Camaro is one of our favorite subjects. As a dealer of SLP, Magnaflow and other high end performance part manufacturers we can come up with various options to improve power even in the 400 hp SS.
Since we are planning to add about 30 more hp with a cold air intake and exhaust it made sense to start with a high end K40 radar detector. The K40 is completely custom installed and invisible to any observer. The laser obfuscater is installed in the front behind the bumper along with the front detector. We then installed the rear detector behind the rear bumper cover. The gps is installed under the dash and the led indicators are custom mounted in the instrument panel.
The left led flashes for front radar and the right for rear radar. As an additional benefit K40 will reimburse you for any tickets received in the first year after the unit is installed in your car.
The next step was to pull apart the stock intake and replace it with a cold air intake.
After everything is complete here on the ground we will put it on the lift and install the exhaust.
This camaro is a convertible so a new sound system was needed. The owner likes his music loud, clean and detailed. This led us in one direction, Hertz / Audison. But before we get to the speakers and amps the source had to be upgraded to the Pioneer z130. The camaro requires a special install kit but the end product was very clean and better than stock.
The front doors were dynamatted to the xtreme with the beautiful sounding Voce 6.5" components from Hertz / Audison.
