Flying Cupcake Van

The Original Flying cupcake van in Indy and our favorite bakery.

Flying Cupcake Van
The flying cupcake van which is used to serve fresh made cupcakes needed to stay cool in the summer and run their RV rated air conditioner plus other appliances. This created the biggest challenge for us. We had to track down the actually output on the factory alternator and went from there. With some help from awesome tech support from Kinetik we decided on 4 Kinetik batteries and two 270 amp alternators to keep everything charged. Oh, and did I mention an inverter rated at 10,000 watts continuous! We started with a Nissan NV 2500. These works vans have been flying off the shelf since they came out and they make for a great canvas on builds like this. (I can actually stand up in these and I'm 6'2".)
Second alternator
Here we have the second 270 amp alternator.
battery rack
The battery rack we fabricated with a little steel, a little paint and there you have it.
